Bocconi 12, Gobbi 1 and Gobbi 5 (1956-1966)
The construction of the first student residence followed in 1956, designed by architect Giovanni Muzio and characterized by a double-Y floor plan, one for men and the other for women. These connect to a third structure housing shared facilities and the canteen, featuring a litho-ceramic cladding very similar to that used by Pagano in order to maintain aesthetic consistency.
In 1962 the San Ferdinando church was consecrated, built by architect Reggiori in honor of the University’s founder. The building housing the Library and University departments was then completed in 1969, the work of Giovanni Muzio and yet another example of his choice to replicate Pagano’s rationalist approach.
